We&#8217;re inviting residents, businesses, and organizations to add neighborhood beautification to those outdoor plans by adopting a MetroBus stop through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metrostlouis.org\/adoptastop\/\">Adopt-A-Stop<\/a> program.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-355377 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.metrostlouis.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_7868-1024x683-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.metrostlouis.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_7868-1024x683-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.metrostlouis.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_7868-1024x683-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.metrostlouis.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_7868-1024x683-1.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>More than 5,000 MetroBus stops are located in the Metro Transit service area and nearly 500 of those stops are adopted.<\/p>\n<p>The Adopt-A-Stop program launched in 2016, inviting businesses, not-for-profit organizations, community groups, neighborhoods, families and individuals to adopt neighborhood MetroBus stops in St. Louis and St. Louis County in Missouri and in St. Clair County in Illinois. The goal of the program is to keep bus stops and the communities Metro Transit serves \u2013 clean, attractive and free from litter. While there is no cost to take part in the Adopt-A-Stop program, participants sign an agreement to regularly monitor their adopted MetroBus stops, pick up litter and help keep the area around the bus stops clean. In return, adopters are provided trash bags and other resources needed to maintain the bus stops. In addition, adopters have the choice of having their name displayed on a special Adopt-A-Sign sign at the MetroBus stop. Some adopters choose to remain anonymous, while others adopt a bus stop in memory or in honor of a loved one.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-355376 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.metrostlouis.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/CM160787_AdoptAStop_WebElements_SignExample-457x1024-1-134x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"134\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.metrostlouis.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/CM160787_AdoptAStop_WebElements_SignExample-457x1024-1-134x300.png 134w, https:\/\/www.metrostlouis.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/CM160787_AdoptAStop_WebElements_SignExample-457x1024-1.png 457w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 134px) 100vw, 134px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One of Metro Transit\u2019s top municipal partners in the Adopt-A-Stop program is the City of Pine Lawn, located in St. Louis County.
