class=\"has-text-align-left\" style=\"font-size:18px\">The Secure Platform Plan (SPP) is part of a multi-tiered strategy to deliver superior service and grow ridership on the Metro Transit system by creating a more secure transit environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\" style=\"font-size:18px\">This state-of-the-art security plan enhances the customer transit experience by creating centralized, secured and monitored customer entrances at all 38 MetroLink stations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" Platforms included are Delmar Loop, Forest Park-DeBaliviere, Central West End, Cortex, Grand, Union Station, Civic Center.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"false\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h2 id=\"at-2645287\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\">January 2024<\/h2><div id=\"ac-2645287\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Metro Transit received the first shipments of the Orion Security Gates that will be installed at station platforms, consisting of both swing and rotary gates. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A construction solicitation was released in January for Package #2, with final bids expected by the end of March 2024. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"false\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h2 id=\"at-2645288\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\">December 2023<\/h2><div id=\"ac-2645288\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Construction on Package #1 began on December 6 with the start of construction work at the Jackie-Joyner Kersee Center and Washington Park MetroLink Stations. It signals that we are committed to rebuilding ridership and regaining the region\u2019s confidence in this important regional asset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SPP has received support and endorsement from each primary elected official in our three funding jurisdictions (St. Louis County and St. Louis City in Missouri, and St. Clair County in Illinois).
