This year, the project was expanded to install new infrastructure at the Delmar Loop and Central West End MetroLink Stations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe feedback we have received from customers, our professional law enforcement partners and our Public Safety team has been overwhelmingly positive since we launched the pilot program last fall,\u201d said Taulby Roach, Bi-State Development President and Chief Executive Officer. \u201cWe are building on that success by expanding the program to two of the system\u2019s most popular stations &#8212; the Delmar Loop and Central West End Stations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Due to the MetroLink Access Project, the Hodiamont entrance to the platform of the Delmar Loop MetroLink Station, <strong>will close\u00a0effective Friday, November 1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-192643\" src=\"https:\/\/www.metrostlouis.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Map-Web.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1650\" height=\"1050\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.metrostlouis.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Map-Web.jpg 1650w, https:\/\/www.metrostlouis.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Map-Web-300x191.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.metrostlouis.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Map-Web-768x489.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.metrostlouis.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Map-Web-1024x652.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1650px) 100vw, 1650px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis project is one of the ways we are making changes to the physical design of the transit system to make it safer and more comfortable for our riders,\u201d said Stephen Berry, General Manager of Public Safety for Metro Transit. \u201cBy adding new infrastructure and customer amenities to our stations, we can create a better transit experience for our customers and build stronger connections with the surrounding community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Metro Transit implemented the pilot project last year at the North Hanley, Forest Park-DeBaliviere and Fairview Heights MetroLink Stations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Metro Transit is nearing completion of a MetroLink pilot project that will change how you access platforms at the Delmar Loop and Central West End MetroLink Stations.
